Cuscapi remains strong despite dip
 

Kuala Lumpur, Wednesday (May 20, 2009) – Cuscapi Berhad recorded revenue of RM7.38 million for the quarter ended 31 March 2008, 6.46% lower revenue compared to the preceding year corresponding quarter’s revenue of RM 7.89 million.

For the first time after 12 quarters, the MESDAQ-listed company recorded pre-tax loss of RM0.65 million compared to the preceding year corresponding quarter’s profit before tax of RM0.21 million.

Commenting on the Q109 results, chief executive officer Danny Leong said that the lower revenue and pre-tax loss were largely due to opportunities being delayed, further compounded by higher operational costs associated with the company’s expanded capacity.

He added that the company remains sound and strong despite the dip and is optimistic of the coming quarters’ performance.
