BUSINESS management software provider Cuscapi Bhd, which has so far grown organically, may buy a local company.

Managing director Her Chor Siong said it had identified a company for merger and acquisition.

"We are in the midst of discussions. We expect to conclude talks by this year," he said, adding that the discussions are in the early stage.

Her said the company's activities are complementary to Cuscapi's business.

"It is a home-grown company and a regional player," he told Business Times, without divulging more.

He said Cuscapi is looking at acquiring businesses that target the food and beverage market or provide different offerings to the same market segment.
